These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Bear Jr. Electric's website and services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Services

Bear Jr. Electric provides residential and commercial electrical services in the Ottawa region and surrounding areas. All work is performed by ESA-licensed electricians in compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.

Estimates and Pricing

  • Written estimates are provided free of charge with no obligation
  • Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified
  • Final pricing may vary if site conditions differ from the original assessment
  • Additional work beyond the original scope requires a revised estimate and your approval
  • All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise noted

Permits and Inspections

Most electrical work in Ontario requires a permit from the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA). We handle all permit applications and schedule inspections as part of our service. The cost of permits is included in our estimates unless otherwise noted.

Warranty

  • All workmanship is warranted for one (1) year from completion
  • Manufacturer warranties apply to all installed products and equipment
  • Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of work unless other arrangements are made in writing
  • We accept cash, cheque, e-transfer, and major credit cards
  • For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work begins
  • Outstanding balances may be subject to interest charges as permitted by Ontario law

Cancellation

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Same-day cancellations may be subject to a service call fee.

Limitation of Liability

Bear Jr. Electric's liability is limited to the cost of services provided. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages to the extent permitted by Ontario law. We maintain comprehensive liability insurance for your protection.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Ottawa, Ontario, in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Ontario.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of Ontario.
